Pawsome Translations has proudly become a sponsor of the Yellow Dog Campaign!
What is that, we hear you say? The Yellow Dog UK campaign promotes awareness and understanding of dogs that need space. These “yellow dogs” may be nervous, in training, recovering from injury or illness, or simply prefer to keep their distance from people and other dogs.
Yellow Dog UK provides resources and information to help dog owners manage reactive dogs, including a directory of sponsors supporting the cause. They offer a range of products like yellow vests, leads, and flags to help owners signal that their dog requires space.
The goal is to educate dog owners and the public, creating a safer, more harmonious environment for dogs and their human companions. If you see a dog with a yellow ribbon, bandana, or similar, maintain distance and allow the dog and owner to move freely. This visual cue indicates the dog needs space, not that it is aggressive or dangerous.
There are many reasons a dog may require additional space – health issues, rescue/rehabilitation, past negative experiences, age, or natural shyness. Yellow Dog UK is a registered charity focused on raising awareness and providing free yellow ribbons to owners of dogs that need space.
Pawsome Translations decided to become a sponsor since our Vice Pawesident, Nalla, and a few others of our Executives, are friends that need their space and do not like to be touched by strangers. While searching for more information on how to help them and what we can do about it, we came across this brilliant campaign and thought it would be great to be a part of it! So, here we are, spreading the message any way we can, digitally, and locally in Greece.
